APPLICATION EVALUATION
Start with the complete manufacturing requirement.
- Target temperature, duration and cycling profile
- Atmosphere, pressure and chemical exposure
- Coating dimensions and processing conditions
- Post-exposure optical, mechanical and coating-integrity tests
The 150–200°C range identifies a target evaluation environment, not a continuous-service rating. Qualification must use the intended fiber, process and exposure profile.

TECHNICAL FAQ
Questions for application planning
Does 150–200°C mean continuous service at every temperature in that range?
No. Define the actual temperature, duration, cycling and atmosphere, then qualify the finished coated fiber for that profile.
What should be measured after thermal exposure?
Use application-relevant optical, mechanical, adhesion, crack, color and coating-integrity checks with defined baselines and recovery conditions.
Is this the same material route as PI-250?
No. 2916 / 3520 is a dual-layer coating system, while PI-250 is a polyimide coating route with different processing requirements.
